Confidex Ironside Micro

Confidex Ironside Micro is a tag solution for returnable transit items and industrial assets that face varying weather conditions and rough handling. Due to its small size, Ironside Micro fits into smaller slots than the most tags which are designed to be used in the same applications.

Like the industry benchmark Confidex Ironside, the new and smaller Ironside Micro is tuned for metal use and brings excessive level of robustness against the demanding requirements of industrial and retail tracking applications. Ironside Micro encapsulation is IP68 level and it requires only approx. square inch area. Read range comes up to 4 meters with maximum allowed reader power.

Confidex Captura

Confidex Captura

Confidex Captura is the newest member of the Confidex Class 1 Gen 2 tag portfolio and it steps into an unprecedented level in both C1G2 tag security and usability. The tag comes with both mechanical and electrical seal functions and is extremely easy and fast to attach. As there is no need for adhesives, screws or other fixing tools, it is simple to calculate the total cost of ownership for Captura. Just click, secure and tag your asset!

Confidex Captura is fixed in a few seconds without any additional fixing materials. It fits to most of the RTI's where there is a place to lock the hook. When required, the Captura can be delivered as encoded and equipped with a barcode according to the project requirements. As the Captura can be taken into use directly from the box in a few seconds, it is easy to calculate the return on investment and the total cost of the ownership of the tags.

Captura provides reliable identification in 3 meter (9,8ft) wide RFID gates. It is designed to be fixed on metal structures and its intelligent patent pending design makes use of the tagged object to achieve the best possible RF performance.

Confidex Carrier Tough

Confidex Carrier Tough

Confidex Carrier Tough is an encapsulated, thin tag solution for tracking various plastic containers and plastic returnable transit items. The tag's structure gives protection against impacts, but it also covers the barcode or other visual information making the printing tolerant against scratches or other wearing.

In the cases where plastic container structure does not have slot that would protect a label type of RFID tag, or when the container will face sharp mechanical impacts during its circulation, Carrier Tough will be the right tag choice. Additionally, due to its antenna design, Carrier Tough will perform well close to content with high dielectric constant, meaning fruits, fish or anything that has high water content.

Confidex Steelwave Micro

Confidex Steelwave Micro

Confidex Steelwave Micro™ is a miniature UHF on-metal tag, which for its size provides unparallel performance. It offers new possibilities for companies to improve their asset management, especially computers and other devices that contain valuable information. The performance and value of Steelwave Micro has excited organizations as more accurate information about their property can be retrieved faster and with less error. Increasing demand for recycling of electronics will also require better practices than currently in use.

UHF RFID brings clear advantages to all these processes when a small, high performing tag like Steelwave Micro is used. Steelwave Micro’s very small footprint and thickness makes it ideal for various applications. Due to its outstanding size-performance ratio, the tag can also be used in tools or other assets, which do not typically have space for an on-metal tag. The tag can also be mounted upon non-metal surfaces.

Confidex SteelBIT

Confidex SteelBIT

Confidex SteelBIT is a miniature UHF on-metal tag with unparalleled performance for its size. SteelBIT’s design is based on the RFID tagging requirements of IT assets in the financial industry. Confidex offers SteelBIT as pre-encoded according to the FSTC (Financial Services Technical Consortium) encoding scheme and supplies the tag with the specific layout, which consists of the printed 2D data matrix and number series showing the tag IC data. Additionally, the SteelBIT tag meets FSTC’s RFID tag range performance requirements (3ft. reading range for handheld readers and 6ft reading range for fixed readers).

Since its inception, Confidex Steelwave Micro™, featuring excellent performance, small foot print, IP67 protection class and suitability for both on-metal and non-metal applications, has proven its efficiency and reliability in both IT asset management and other calculable asset tracking applications. Consequently, Confidex SteelBIT now leads the way as an FSTC-compliant RFID tag.

Confidex SteelWING

Confidex SteelWING

With up to 10 meter (32ft) read range on metal surfaces, UHF Class 1 Generation 2 compliant Confidex SteelWING has been designed to overcome the challenges of metal asset tagging. The key design targets; high performance, compact structure and cost-efficiency were achieved with SteelWING’s innovative patent pending design. The light-weight tag has adhesive background and it can be directly attached on metal surface – without any extra spacer material.

Before this, RFID labels could not be directly applied to metal. Many label solutions have been developed with the idea in mind that the RFID label has been lifted away from the proximity of metal surfaces. Typically such products work better the more space that’s left in between tag and metal. But the drawback of such labels is that when antenna bends closer to metal and the distance to metal reduces, the RFID label performance significantly decreases. Instead of avoiding metal contact, contact between the metal and the antenna of Confidex SteelWING actually improves the operational performance. Unlike its competitive products, Confidex SteelWING is truly a “metal-friendly” RFID label.
