Alien ALR-9900+ EMA Enterprise Reader

Alien ALR-9900+ EMA Enterprise Reader

The ALR-9900+EMA offers state-of-the-art performance in a package roughly half the size of its predecessor. It has been optimized for performance in the European (866MHz) regulatory environment and is fully compliant to the most recent European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) EN 302-208-2 “Four Channel Plan” specification. The ALR-9900+EMA further improves upon performance and enables Alien European value-added solutions providers to deliver high-performance EPC Gen 2 RFID solutions across the European Union. The widely-supported Alien Reader Protocol allows systems integrators and software vendors to quickly and cost-effectively address fast-emerging European RFID opportunities. The reader is compliant with ISO-18000-6c and EPC Gen 2 protocols and interoperable with leading Gen 2 RFID tags.

Alien Enterprise RFID Platform
The ALR-9900+EMA leverages the Alien Enterprise RFID Platform, which provides a flexible architecture for meeting current EPC Class 1 Gen 2 performance, management and protocol requirements. The ALR-9900+EMA also hosts the Alien Reader Protocol, which is used by all Alien readers and is widely supported by RFID software companies.

Enterprise-ready
The ALR-9900+EMA is designed for scalable, streamlined, easy-to-manage data collection with a low total cost-of-ownership across any number of installed units. Implementation costs are kept low through the reader's simplified configuration and through its integrated industrial-class general purpose I/O capability that eliminates the need for costly external programmable logic controllers. Powerful remote monitoring and management functionality reduces ongoing costs of ownership while a ruggedized physical design ensures reliable, low-maintenance operation in demanding environments.

High-Performance Gen 2 Read/Write Capability
The ALR-9900+EMA supports ultra-high Gen 2 read rates, making it an ideal solution for demanding applications such as high-speed conveyors and dock doors. The ALR-9900+EMA provides ultra high sensitivity in a compact, monostatic antenna topology.

European Regulatory Compliance
In addition to being fully compliant with the new ETSI EN 302-208-2 “Four Channel Plan” specification, the ALR-9900+ carries the CE Mark and is compliant with all relevant emissions and safety standards in Europe including EN 60950, EN 50364 and EN 301-489. Further, the ALR-9900+EMA also supports the EN 300-220 standard for maximum flexibility.

Global Applicability
Operating in the 866MHz band defined by the ETSI EN 302-208-2 specification, variants of the ALR-9900+EMA are available for use in multiple regions, including Balkan Countries, the European Union, India, Africa, New Zealand, the Russian Federation, Turkey, Ukraine, and Viet Nam.

Intelligent Tag Radar

Intelligent Tag Radar

As RFID expands into more applications, the simple knowledge that a given tag was seen at a certain read point is sometimes inadequate. For some applications we’d like to know more. Was the tag moving or stationary? Which direction? How fast? How far away?

Alien’s new Intelligent Tag Radar (ITR™) provides this and other information about the tag.  This capability enables the RFID system to enhance a number of fundamental applications of passive, Gen 2 RFID, and will open up many new applications and sources of ROI for users.

Impinj Speedway xPortal R640

Impinj Speedway xPortal R640

The Speedway® xPortal™, an integrated portal reader, incorporates the industry-leading Speedway Revolution RFID reader and Impinj's Dual-Linear Phased Array (DLPA) antenna technology, yielding the industry's smallest, most flexible, and cost-effective RFID portal solution.

High Performance, Integrated Portal RFID Reader
Impinj's Speedway xPortal RFID reader solves the size and mounting limitations of traditional portals with an attractive, light-weight, and low-profile unit.

Measuring approximately 30.5 x 8.75 x 2 in (77.5 x 22.2 x 5 cm) and weighing less than 10 lbs (4.5 kg), its compact form is unobtrusive, streamlined, and ultimately flexible, yet delivers better performance than larger, more costly industrial-scale portals.

The Speedway xPortal RFID reader integrates high-performance, Impinj-designed DLPA antenna technology with beam switching and polarization attributes that are dynamically managed by the reader, providing consistent and broad coverage of the read zone.

Designed for retail, office, hospital, and other indoor environments, the Speedway xPortal RFID reader is ideal for monitoring tagged items, pallets, equipment, files, or people passing through doorways, hallways, or other zonal coverage areas.

Impinj Speedway Revolution R420 4-ports

Impinj Speedway Revolution R420 4-ports

Includes all possible performance configurations and functionality to deliver peak performance for even the most challenging of applications.

4 high performance, monostatic antenna ports optimized for Impinj reader antennas.

Application environments are dynamic. Everything from RF interference, tag quantity, and ambient RF noise to building materials near an RFID installation affect system performance. Most users configure their RFID readers for worst case scenarios, often compromising best performance in the process.

With its innovative Autopilot features, Impinj's Speedway® Revolution RFID reader delivers peak performance—all day, every day.

Superior Performance Made Easy
With Autopilot, a set of unique firmware features work together to automatically optimize the RFID reader's operation for its environment:

  • Autoset—continuously optimizes the reader's configuration for the best, most reliable performance
  • Low duty cycle—reduces RF interference, power consumption, and energy costs
  • Dynamic antenna switching—improves throughput and helps the reader work more efficiently

The Speedway Revolution RFID reader also delivers increased application flexibility via support for Power over Ethernet (PoE), which simplifies deployment and dramatically reduces cost by eliminating the need for AC outlet installation at read points.

And this revolutionary RFID reader improves upon the advanced hardware capabilities that made the original Speedway the reader of choice for many demanding customers—capabilities such as best receive sensitivity, interference rejection, and item-level carrier cancellation.
